First Alert 3 Story Fire Escape Ladder Model EL53W-2 is approximately 24 feet (3 stories). When extended from the window, the bottom step of the ladder must be close enough to the ground to allow for a safe escape. Do not use this ladder from heights greater than 24 feet (7.3m) as injury could result. Rated at 1125 LBS it can accommodate windows from 6 inches to 13 inches deep. The National Fire Protection Association, which recommends one ladder in every occupied room on floors above the main level.
