The Kidde 442020 Radon Detection Test Kit. Use this kit to determine whether colorless, tasteless radon gas is seeping into your home. Radon is a cancer-causing, radioactive gas. Radon comes from the natural breakdown of uranium in soil, rock and water and gets into the air your breathe. Testing is the only way to know if you and your family are at risk from radon. Testing is inexpensive and easy. Kidde Radon Kit includes an activated radon sampler tray. Comes with a return mailer envelope for professional lab analysis. Detailed instructions and information card; meets state and EPA requirements. Analysis included no additional fees to pay except New Jersey residents. New Jersey residents will need to pay an additional $10.00 fee to the testing lab to cover the New Jersey Environmental Protection Agency's administrative cost. The cost of mailing the bag is not included, but will only require 2 postage stamps.
All that is required to collect the sample is to open the package and place the sampler in the area to be tested. The test start date and time and the completion date and time are recorded on the supplied data card that is returnedwith the collected sample. The sampler should be exposed to the environment in the area being tested for 2 days.
 The cost of the kit includes a laboratory analysis fee and the detailed report which will be sent back to you.
