Radon Gas Detector Pro Series 3 by Safety Siren is the only electronic radon detector available today that is specifically designed for radon testing for home owners.

These digital radon detectors by Pro Series 3 allows the homeowner to perform radon testing and monitor the radon levels in their home by displaying short term radon gas levels and long term radon gas levels, so that testing can be done 24/7 365 days a year. By a electronic radon gas detector.

Meets radon testing performance criteria to accurately and precisely measure radon measurement levels in the home. The Radon Detectors have a numeric LED radon gas level display range is .1 to 999.9 in pCi/L. for Short and long term radon readings. The audible radon alarm will sound if short or long term radon gas averages are 4 pCi/L or greater. The Pro Series 3 by Safety Siren HS71512 Continuously samples air and Displays updates hourly, and a fail safe self test happens every 24 hours, error codes will display if test fails. A multi function menu button with a Green LED that illuminates next to S (short-term) or L (long-term) display. To begin new radon test clear and reset radon monitor memory. An audible alarm will signal if a Long term radon level is 4 pCi/L or greater or short term radon level is above 4 pCi/L for 30 consecutive days. EPA Recommends: Test your home for radon it's easy and inexpensive; Fix your home if your radon Gas level is 4 picoCuries per liter (pCi/L) or higher. Radon Gas levels less than 4 pCi/L still pose a risk, and in many cases may be reduced.

Pro Series 3 Digital Radon Gas Detector February 24, 2009

This is a great product.  As a scientist, I was skeptical, but having owned it for 6 months and tracking the radon in my house, I'm impressed.  The radon levels fluctuate as the furnace runs (lowers), rain falls (rises, I assume that the water displaces the radon gas), etc.  The highest reading were early October (expected according to an IL state agency), and lowest was in the dead of winter.  Taking the detector out of the basement (2.0 - 3.0) and onto the first floor reduced the readings to 1.0 almost what would be expected from being outside (0.5).  I would definately recommend this product for piece of mind, it works.

I am pleased with the Safety Siren Pro 3 Radon Detector that I bought. It arrived in a timely mannor and seems to be functioning just fine. I would recommend it to others. Some of my closest family members may even find one wrapped up (with their name on it) and under their Christmas tree this year.

A very good long-term solution to monitoring June 25, 2007

Rather than pay for another 20 dollar one-time two-day radon test after my radon mitigation system was installed, I decided to get this detector instead. It was certainly worth the investment in continuous peace of mind. Just note that you'll need to do some minor installation since the detector needs to hang from a stud in your wall. You just can't plug it into an electrical outlet. I'd recommend it for anyone who has a basement or lives in an area with high concentrations of radon, even if you've had an earlier test done, since radon levels can change over time, particularly in newer houses as they "settle" and perhaps develop cracks where radon can get in. We tested in 1998 with a one-time test and got a reading of 3.7. We tested again just recently and got a reading of 7.8, which is what caused us to install the mitigation system.
